To add extra flavor and truly heroic traits to characters in Pantheon, Visions of Darkness uses a Card Draw system to give players an option of a special feature on their PC.
How It Works
- Players may preview a teaser list of what's made available in Card Draws. Many of the names are intentionally vague so as to not tip the hand of who ends up pulling it, but it should offer a general sense of what's out there so players can network based off of Draws.
- Contact Staff when you'd like to make your Card Draw.
- You will draw two cards and keep the one you prefer, by giving the name of two cards (Ace of Spades, Queen of Hearts, etc.)
- If you truly don't like either card, you have the option of working with staff, trading it with another player, or accepting an extra 8 XP on your character sheet to start.
Extra Notes
- Some Card Draws may be taken more than once: a few extra dots at character creation anyone can pull because of how customizable that is per PC, but a truly unique pull will be removed from the deck.
- You can network with other players based on card draws to try and sync up stories, but make sure you disclose the Card Name (Fera Friend or Tribal Fetish), and not the specific Card you pulled (Ace of Spades or Ten of Clubs).
- In the event you'd like the contents of a Card Draw to be kept a secret, please make sure to only mention it as 'Card Draw' in all OOC conversations: "My Card Draw should allow me access to this scene" or "Card Draw retest". This will reduce the chances of accidental metagaming.
